Financial Support

To All Those Interested in The Zeitah Excavations,

Today, both government and private grants for archaeological research outside the United States are extremely limited and difficult to obtain. The bulk of financial support for The Zeitah Excavations, therefore, comes from the generosity of private donors, who contribute upwards of 55% to the project's annual operating budget. Tax-deductible gifts help fund the purchase of field and lab equipment, the analysis of material culture recovered, scholarships for student volunteers, publication efforts, staffing during the digging season and throughout the rest of the year, professional services, and much more.

If you would like to support The Zeitah Excavations financially, please make your check payable to "PTS, The Zeitah Excavations" and mail it to Professor R. E. Tappy, Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, 616 North Highland Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. The Seminary will register your name among the "Friends of Zeitah" and will send you a receipt for your income tax file.

The people of ancient Zeitah can speak only through what they have left behind. Thank you for playing a vital role in discovering their history – in telling their story.

Sincerely,

Ron E. Tappy
Project Director and Principal Investigator
