From Ben Gurion International Airport, take Route 1 toward Jerusalem. Watch for Sha’ar Ha-Gay Junction (“the Gateway of the Valley,” for those who don’t know Hebrew); this junction will be clearly marked and will appear when you are less than half way to Jerusalem. At the junction, take Route 38 south. Stay on 38 through Beth-Shemesh. Roughly 10-12 km past Beth-Shemesh, look for a secondary Route 353. Take a right onto 353. Stay on Route 353 (which is a narrow road that winds around a bit) until you see the sign for Kibbutz Gal-’on. Turn right off 353 and onto the Gal-’on access road. The kibbutz entrance is only about 300-500 yards away. Note: There is a slightly more direct way to get from the airport to Gal-’on, but there are some tricky interchanges if you are not familiar with the route. It is Route 40 from the airport.
